The accumulator unit is used to pressurize the water in the sprinkler system. It is used either as a backup for the pump unit that in case of failure in both main and emergency electrical supply or separately in smaller sprinkler systems.
The Ultra Fog accumulator unit is built up by cylinders filled with pressurized nitrogen gas and cylinders filled with water. When the accumulator unit is activated, either automatically or manually, the gas will flow into the cylinders with water pressing the water out in the system. The accumulator unit comes in to standard sizes, one containing 135 litres of water and the other 270 litres of water. These units can be combined to achieve a larger amount of water to protect a larger space.
In systems where only an accumulator unit is used to create pressure, the pilot pressure is created by a special accumulator cylinder containing pressurized nitrogen and water in the same bottle.There is also a special accumulator cylinder developed for fat fryer systems that is filled with compressed nitrogen and water.
